Ginger Without Borders

Hi, everyone who is used to reading the observations of Lena on these pages. This is her father, who is often mentioned in her posts, particularly when she was traveling and posted at the end of each report: “P.S. Dad, I am still alive.”

Well, the roles have now reversed and it is her parents who will be doing the world traveling, to Australia and New Zealand. We leave next week. Our adventure will last a little over two months. Lena is now insisting, as I once did with her, that she wants to hear from us every day.

To honor her request, I will be posting every day on this website as we rent cars, fly in-country airlines, and ride the rails around Eastern Australia and all of New Zealand. I doubt that I will be anywhere near as funny or insightful as my ginger daughter. At best, you will get an insight into the folks who raised Lena and at worst, I will just be another boring parent. I will leave that decision to you, the readers. And of course, I fully expect to be critiqued by Lena.
