Today, we spent the afternoon at the Eravikulam National Park in Munnar, Kerala. Eravikulam has two claims to fame: first, it was the first national park in Kerala. Second, the park is the home to the Nilgiri Thar (Nilgiritragus hylocrius), an endangered species of goat.
Visitors to the park wander a winding path up to the top of the mountain–literally above the clouds–while scanning the mountainside in the hope that they will be lucky enough to see the Nilgiri. This results in a fun new game we creatively named: “Where’s Waldo: Goat Edition”. And since we had so much fun playing, I thought I would share it with you.
We’ll start easy.

Now a bit harder:

And now beast mode:

P.S. I am still alive. And grateful that those photos exist, because I did not locate the goat until right before it walked behind a rock.
