The number one question I get from people is: “Lena, where are you now?” And to be honest, I’m too old and scatterbrained to remember anymore. So here is a list of all the trips I have been on, or will be taking:

2026
Long term: my partner and I maintain our home-base in Washington, D.C.
Trips: Various trips around the United States and abroad, including visiting extended family in India; friends who are like family in Vancouver, Canada; and attending more professional events like the 77th session of the United Nations International Law Commission in Geneva, Switzerland.

2025
Long term: in the summer of 2025, my partner and I moved back to the United States from the Netherlands.
Trips: Various trips around the United States and abroad, including to the 76th session of the United Nations International Law Commission in Geneva, Switzerland; the 2025 Institute of Transnational Arbitration Annual Meeting in Houston, Texas; and the 2025 American Society of International Law Mid-Year Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.
2024
Long term: for most of 2024, my partner and I lived in Netherlands. While living abroad, we traveled periodically to different parts of Europe.
2023
Long term: starting in September, my partner and I moved to the Netherlands.
